Onur Gümrükcü
TANGO DANCER · TEACHER · DJ
About
Onur began dancing tango in Istanbul in 2010. What started as an interest soon became a passion, leading him to study with some of the world’s leading tango teachers and dedicate himself to developing his dance. His background in sports helped shape his understanding of movement and technique, and in 2013 he began teaching tango.
Since then, Onur has taught workshops and performed at international tango events across Europe, including in Istanbul, London, Rome, Paris and Berlin, some of Europe’s leading tango cities. He has performed with various dance partners and worked with tango communities in different countries. Since November 2021, he has been based in Berlin, where he teaches group and private lessons and also works as a tango DJ.
